Blues Schmus & Apfelmus Festival in the park of Castle Laubach/Oberhessen
"Blues, Schmus & Apfelmus" is an interregional festival which takes place in the park of Castle Laubach (Oberhessen) since 1993. About 30 blues bands play live on various stages. In one of the tents the audience can listen to blues bands singing in their regional dialect, a speciality of that festival.

On top of the music there are a lot of activities and excibitions about the topic apple and (hard) cider.
Maria had been listening to the broadcast of that festival in our local radio station. As the weather was conveniently fair this year we decided to go there in our LeBaron convertible.

Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL

Fellow passengers of our 2015 "Country Music Cruise" on the MS EURODAM had told us about this well known festival of American Country Music. At last, 4 years later, we managed to organise tickets and a hotel. It is a bit like a fairground with rides and food trucks mixed with an animal exhibition and market - that's where it originated - and a concert arena plus, of course, lots of strawberry stalls as it is the main Florida strawberry harvest time. |
